NOTICE OF PROPERTY TAX INCREASE
The City of Bainbridge Mayor and Council has tentatively adopted a 2024 millage rate which will require an increase in property taxes by .34 percent.
All concerned citizens are invited to the public hearings on this tax increase to be held at City Hall Council Chambers, 101 South Broad Street, Bainbridge, GA on August 13, 2024 at 10 am and 6:30 pm. Time and place of additional public hearing on this tax increase is at City Hall Council Chambers, 101 South Broad Street, Bainbridge, GA on August 20, 2024 at 6:30 pm.
This tentative increase will result in a millage rate of 3.511 mills, an increase of .012 mills. Without this tentative tax increase, the millage rate will be no more than 3.499 mills. The proposed tax increase for a home with a fair market value of $100,000 is approximately 48 cents and the proposed tax increase for a home with a fair market value of $300,000 is approximately $1.44.
